And without further adieu...
T-Shirt Wholesaler - How did the idea for your business come about?
I received a cutting machine for Christmas a few years ago. At first it was just fun to make things for my three girls and friends. I started out monogramming things for them, then onto shirts, and that was a lot of fun. I was starting to have more and more friends wanting shirts. My husband then encouraged me to make it into a business and with his help, that's exactly what I did.
T-Shirt Wholesaler - How did you come up with the name of your business?
I knew I wanted to have the word vinyl in the name. We live in the Nashville area and our area code is 615, which is kinda a big deal locally, lots of pride. You see it on hats, shirts, bumper stickers, pretty much anything. My husband suggested what about “vinyl615”? I said “yes, that's it” The rest is history, as they say.
T-Shirt Wholesaler - When did you start your business?
I did my first monograms for money in April of 2018.
T-Shirt Wholesaler -Can you describe your business? Location, Size, Number of Employees, Etc?
We are located Nashville, TN. My business is super small, as it's just me, myself, and I!
T-Shirt Wholesaler - What motivates you?
I love making people happy about the end product they receive. It puts a big smile on my face and warms my heart, when I see how excited they are upon receiving it.
T-Shirt Wholesaler - Can you describe your typical customer?
Women in their 30's-50's looking for something original for themselves, their children, or as custom gifts.
T-Shirt Wholesaler - What have your biggest challenges been and how have you overcome them?
My biggest challenge is I'm a perfectionist. I want it to look perfect, so it can be rather time consuming.
T-Shirt Wholesaler - What sets your business apart from the competition?
I'm good at getting my product to the customer in a timely manner. I would say I'm easy to work with. I want it to look perfect for my customer, so I'm always letting them see the design before I cut it. I also try to create things that you have not seen anywhere else.
T-Shirt Wholesaler - How do you define business success? Is it money? Freedom? Influence? Creative expression? Something Else?
I define my success by being able to create something that someone else is going to enjoy. Having money come along with that is not bad either :-)
